You are required to complete five (5) Tutor Marked Oral Exercises (TMOEs). Prepare them carefully. You will do the TMOEs over the telephone with your tutor. On the average, each TMOE will take about 10 minutes. You are required to prepare answers for all the questions in each TMOE, but your tutor may not ask all of them. However, your tutor may ask you additional questions as you start to develop a certain proficiency and fluency in Spanish. You will not be asked questions that are beyond your expected level of comprehension in the course.

Note: You are to take only ONE oral exercise at a time. Receiving your tutor’s comments and suggestions on each exercise will help you integrate that feedback to avoid repeating mistakes in later exercises.

The format for the oral exercises will vary, but may include:

• answering questions based on the Destinos textbook and on the Workbook/Study Guide I.
• listening to statements by your tutor.
• conducting an interview or engaging in a dialogue based on course material.
• delivering a monologue on a selected topic.
• transforming sentences from one form or tense into another.
