Students who approach their studies in a systematic and organized manner are more likely to complete the course successfully than those who do not. You are advised, therefore, to follow a study schedule to help you budget your time and track your progress.

The following schedule is designed for students who are enrolled in the individualized-study version of Spanish 200 and assumes that you will spend about 15 hours per week on the course. Note that there are two lessons or broadcasts per week.

As you have a six-month contract period in which to finish the course, you may schedule your activities according to that time frame but it is important follow the sequence outlined in the study schedule below. Should you require more time, please consult the current AU Calendar for information on obtaining an extension to your course contract.

Please note that students who are receiving funding from the Student Finance Board are required to complete their studies within a shortened time limit. If you are receiving funding from any source, please check the detail of your obligations, and adjust your personal study schedule accordingly.

Be sure to call your tutor if you have difficulty with the material, or if you are unable to keep to the schedule as suggested. If you find yourself falling behind in your course work, contact your tutor immediately. He or she will be able to advise you as to what options are available to you.

Please note: You will want to check your answers for the Workbook/Study Guide I exercises using the answer key found in Appendix 1, pages 335 to 341. Completion of the worksheets is optional. Consider them extra practice and do not send them to your tutor for marking. For answers to the self-tests, see Appendix 2, on pages 342 to 344.
