Mathematical Operations: Numbers, Fractions and Decimals

Unit 1 provides a review of the mathematical operations you must be able to do in order to complete Mathematics 100 successfully.

Objectives

After completing this review, you should feel quite comfortable

  1. using properties of basic operations to simplify arithmetic questions involving positive and negative whole (real) numbers.
  2. performing basic arithmetic operations.
  3. performing basic arithmetic operations on fractional numbers.
  4. converting fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
