No credit activity is associated with the course home page at this time, so your grade will not be affected if you do not have access to the Web, or if you choose not to participate online. You may wish to use this page to join in the student-led discussions, receive updates on the course content as provided by your supervisor and other sources, email your supervisor, connect with the Athabasca University Library, explore related sites, and conduct your own topical searches on the Internet. The course home page will be an evolving site, so if you check in at the beginning of the course, be sure to come back later. Once is not enough!

Please come to the home page to see an example of how one of our students used project courses to develop the academic components of a larger project. Later on, the larger project received funding for her to do work she loves as well as pay the bills! You may find some helpful tips here to get you started.

Students who are not able to take advantage of this feature will not be penalized in any way. If you are in this group of students, mention the fact to your supervisor, who may be able to send you hard copies of any particularly relevant material. Your course grade will be determined by the student evaluation structure outlined in this Student Manual, which was designed for the print-based study materials found in your course package.
