Examples of Possible Project Topics

Because Human Services encompasses many fields of work and study, research can be done in the human services sector or an area within the human services sector, and on a wide variety of topics. Here are a few examples:

• Caring for the Whole Person: Involvement of Clients in Personal Care Plans

• Privacy Issues in Information Gathering by Social Service Support Agencies

• Integrated Service Delivery Innovations in Health and Human Service Delivery: Community-Based Criteria for Success

• A Case Study in Advocacy: Connecting People with Services in Edmonton and Area via the World Wide Web

• Out with the Old, In with the New: Revisioning the Mission-Statement of a Not-For-Profit Agency

• Locating Literacy: Optimizing the Effectiveness of Outreach Services

Students will be encouraged to submit their project title, an executive summary and a few words of advice to new students in the course. With the student's permission these materials will then be made available on the course home page.
