Part Two: Course Completion

Program Coordinator

At Athabasca University, the program coordinator (also sometimes called course professor) is usually the academic staff member who is in charge of the course. The program coordinator serves as a directed readings supervisor to some students and works directly with other directed readings supervisors on both academic and administrative matters. If you have difficulties you cannot resolve with your directed readings supervisor's help, you may wish to speak with the program coordinator directly. The program coordinator can point you in the right direction to access the service you require, and may be able to answer specific queries about the university or procedures that your directed readings supervisor is not responsible for providing. The program coordinator receives the course evaluation questionnaires and welcomes students' comments on the course.
