The course materials supplied for Directed Readings I: Topics in the Human Services consist solely of this Student Manual. You are welcome to make use of materials you already possess from other courses, on-line resources available through the university library, as well as documents, libraries and resources available locally. Inter-library loan services are available through the Athabasca University library system to provide access to books that are too expensive to purchase and which may not be available locally. It is a good idea to discuss the availability of the sorts of materials you will be using with your directed readings supervisor to share knowledge and concerns about where and how to access materials.
