Because Human Services encompasses many fields of work and study, research can be done in the human services sector or an area within the human services sector, and on a wide variety of topics. Here are a few examples:

• Service delivery in a multicultural context or to sub-populations having special concerns or issues,
• Leadership in human service organizations,
• Local, regional, national, or international comparisons of the human services sector, or an area within the human services sector,
• Human Services Education,
• The history, planning, development and current state of specific policies or programs.
