Unit 7
Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the stimulation by needles at traditionally and clinically defined points on and beneath the skin for therapeutic or preventive purposes. In traditional Chinese medicine the body contains vital energy that should be in continuous and harmonious flow along twelve main channels. Disease and illness occur when there is an interruption in this flow. Acupuncture needles inserted at key points rejuvenate and correct this flow of natural energy.
