Try to use as much German as possible with your tutor, your fellow students, and your friends and family if they speak German. Greet your professor in German on the telephone and in e-mail messages. Practice the simple greetings and replies frequently. Plan to use them with your tutor in your telephone conversations and in the Freies Gespräch section of the Tutor Marked Oral Exercises (TMOEs). Listen to and repeat the phrases on the CDs and Video sections often.

There are four oral exercises you must complete for credit in German 202. The first TMOE is based on the Schritte and Kapitel (Chapter) 1, the second is based on Chapters 2 and 3, and so on. Written versions of the oral exercises are provided here to help you prepare. Your tutor may vary the format of the exercise somewhat. These exercises are password protected. Contact your tutor to get the password.
