Search the Web for "expressionism." Begin with Expressionism Resources at World Wide Arts Resources. With a general Web search, you will also find many sites devoted to expressionist art that will help you understand the visual aesthetics of Lang's film. You should also be able to find essays on expressionism in film that will make reference to Lang. Keep track of the sites that are of interest, and remember to document carefully anything you might wish to use in your essay assignment.
