Student Manual: The Student Manual contains essential information about the course design, the course materials, and the procedures you should follow to complete the course successfully. It also contains the assignments you must complete in order to obtain credit for the course. Please read the Student Manual through carefully before you begin your study of English 308.
Study Guide: The Study Guide contains the ten units that comprise this course and directs your study of English 308. Each unit begins with a set of learning objectives that specify what you should be able to do upon completing the unit’s activities. Each unit also includes reading assignments and commentaries on the topics under investigation. Finally, all units conclude with a set of Study Questions that will help you assess your understanding of the material presented.
Book of Readings: The Book of Readings contains the assigned readings from sources other than the course textbooks. The Study Guide will direct you to these readings at the appropriate points in the course.
Forms: The forms you will need to submit assignments or inform Athabasca University of a change in your status as a student are included in your course materials package. “Online” versions of these and other forms are available via the Athabasca University Web site.
