Romance and Mental Disorder: Heroines in Literature.
This is the online presentation of a paper presented by Drs. Joseph Pivato and Emma Pivato at Athabasca University in September 2001. It deals with notions on mental illness, specifically borderline personality disorder, among the heroines of 19th century romance novels. Although this paper can be used by the academic community at large, it is specifically for use by students of English 307, English 395, English 336 and English 591.
