Students who approach their studies in a systematic and organized manner are more likely to complete their courses successfully than are those who do not plan their activities. We advise you, therefore, to follow a study schedule to assist you in budgeting your time and scheduling your progress.

The study schedule given below is suggested to help you organize your activities and complete the course in about eighteen weeks. This time frame is in line with those for similar courses in conventional universities, and allows you some leeway, in case an unforeseen event interrupts your studies. You may, of course, proceed more quickly, or more slowly, than is suggested by this study schedule.   • Read the Student Manual through carefully, and look over the other course materials; contact your tutor if he or she has not already called you.
  • Work through the interpretations of educational history in Unit 1.
  • Complete the first two readings, making careful notes.
3 and 4
  • Complete the readings for Unit 1, making careful notes.
  • Complete the first assignment; remember to include references and a bibliography and submit it to your tutor for grading and feedback.
5 and 6
  • Work through the first half of Unit 2, making careful notes on the readings.
  • Review your tutor’s comments on the first assignment.
7 and 8
  • Complete the readings on Native education, making careful notes.

  • Complete the readings for Unit 2, making careful notes.
9 and 10
  • Complete the second assignment; remember to include references and a bibliography and submit it to your tutor for grading and feedback.
11 and 12
  • Work through the first half of Unit 3, making careful notes of the readings.

13 and 14
  • Complete the second half of Unit 3, making careful notes on the readings.
15 and 16
