Athabasca University to launch new Academic and Research Centre

Athabasca – Members of the media are invited to Friday’s launch of Athabasca University’s new Academic and Research Centre (ARC) on the university’s main campus in Athabasca.
The new $30 million dollar ARC will increase space on the AU campus by nearly 50%. Funding for the new facility was announced in August, 2007 by the Honourable Doug Horner, Alberta’s Minister of Advanced Education and Technology.
Construction of the new building will begin this fall, with an anticipated completion in the spring of 2010.
