The copyright over the digital photographs (the “Photos”) made available for download in this compressed file archive are owned by Athabasca University (“AU”).

The Photos shall not be copied, reproduced, published or otherwise used by you except in accordance with the following terms:

1. Use: The Photos shall only be used as follows (the “Authorized Use”):

• (a) by AU staff members in association with presentations and other means of communication, the subject matter of which relates to AU; and
• (b) by anyone in association with written articles, whether in print or electronic format, the subject matter of which relates to AU;

except that any such use shall not include or relate to any libellous, defamatory or unlawful matter.

2. Integrity: Except for the resizing or cropping of the Photos, you shall not modify the Photos in any manner whatsoever.

3. Credit: Any reproduction or publication of the Photos by you shall include a reference that copyright over the Photos is owned by AU.

4. Monitoring of Use: Except for AU staff members, upon the publication of any written article incorporating any of the Photos, you shall deliver to AU to the attention of:

a copy of such written article.

5. Governing Law: The laws in force in the Province of Alberta, Canada shall govern the terms herein, and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Province of Alberta, Canada.

In consideration of your promise to comply with the above terms, which shall be deemed upon your download of the Photos, AU does hereby grant to you a non-transferable license to copy, reproduce, publish and otherwise use the Photos for the Authorized Use.
